The position of Senior Engineer will work in general support of and with operations to focus on continual improvement and a portfolio of specific engineering projects for multiple Sunrock sites. The position is a visible professional position to Sunrock management, vendors, and all surrounding communities in which the company’s business is done. The position will assist in the organization, direction, coordination, and control the activities of the Sunrock engineering services function in order to deliver superior customer service, provide safe and stable operations, optimizing engineering efforts to ensure responsible management of company resources.
This position also has backup and project specific plant and mobile equipment operations responsibilities that include hands-on involvement in project and maintenance construction. This job requires the employee to be on call when necessary at all times to ensure issues are addressed in a rapid and error free manner. The role may work independently or within a team, practicing absolute confidentiality. Good judgment is required in all duties and any other tasks as assigned and directed by senior management. The normal work hours are 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday and weekends as needed. Early starts and late evenings are common during peak season. Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) maybe required. This job description provides an overview of responsibilities and task to be performed. Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with three (3) – five (5) years related experience required. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
The working environment will vary based on the indoor and outdoor production/construction environment. The working environment will be well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. This role will also be exposed to outdoor working conditions to changing weather conditions (i.e., rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.) The noise level in the work environment indoors is moderate. The noise level of the work environment outdoors is loud.
